Programs

For nearly a decade, El Shaddai International’s life-changing programs, projects and initiatives are creating positive futures for underprivileged and underserved children and adults in West Africa and the Eastern United States. Our compassionate Board of Directors, dedicated partners and your generous support make this possible.

ESI selects specific programs and projects that have a BIG impact on improving lives and communities. Over 95% of all contributions go directly to fund our critical programs.

West Africa
From providing children in the Gambia with textbooks, school supplies and clothing to empowering women in Senegal to raise themselves and their families from poverty through micro-economic initiatives to building the Greta D. Shepherd Community School in Ghana, ESI’s programs and initiatives are improving lives and creating positive futures. Below is a list of ESI’s current programs and initiatives in West Africa:

Greta D. Shepherd Community School Project (Ghana)
Martina Matthews Scholarship Fund (Senegal)
Micro-Economic Empowerment Program for Women (Senegal)

Eastern United States
In 2003, ESI expanded its programs and initiatives to the Eastern United States – specifically low-income communities in West Virginia and most recently Washington, DC. ESI has supported educational youth programs such as "Project Excel" after school tutoring and mentoring program in West Virginia, and is currently supporting Camp Explosion summer enrichment program in Washington, DC. In Fall 2009, ESI is launching the new AIM HIGH program in Washington, DC modeled after the successful “Project Excel”.  In addition, ESI supports and is an advocate for creating and expanding minority-owned businesses. Below is a list of ESI’s current programs and initiatives in the Eastern United States:

AIM HIGH Youth Program (Washington, DC)
Camp Explosion Summer Enrichment Program (Washington, DC)
