El Shaddai International's programs are creating positive futures for underprivileged and underserved children and adults in West Africa and the Eastern United States. Our compassionate Board of Directors, dedicated partners and your generous support make this possible.

Below are examples of what your generous gifts can accomplish:

$22 provides books and school supplies for an impoverished child in West Africa ensuring he/she has the tools and resources needed to facilitate learning and obtain a quality education for a bright and prosperous future.

$55 helps raise a Senegalese single mother and her family out of poverty by providing her with job training and critical financial management skills to empower her to become self-sufficient.

$120 sends a child of working single-mother to Camp Explosion summer enrichment program in Washington, DC for the entire summer. He/she will enhance both academic and social skills, and will be well prepared for success in the upcoming school year.

$225 provides a teacher in Ghana with on-going training to ensure he/she has the necessary skills to provide his/her students with a quality education – a key factor in alleviating poverty.  

$300 provides a woman in Senegal with micro-loan to join a co-op, selling items such as fish, vegetables, fabrics, etc. She will be provided financial training on pricing, establishing a savings account, and participate in weekly group meetings for support; and ultimately, transform her and her family’s lives from one of poverty to self-sufficiency and assets.

$475 provides an underprivileged Senegalese student the opportunity to receive a quality education by attending the Dior Primary/Secondary School (grades 1-12) in Dakar, Senegal’s capital city. Your generous gift will provide full tuition and uniforms for an entire school year!

$1,000 provides an entire class of 50 students at the new Greta D. Shepherd Community School in Ghana with a qualified teacher and books and school supplies needed to obtain a quality education and create a positive future for themselves, their families and their community!

$2,400 will provide two at-risk children in Southeast Washington, DC with the opportunity to attend the Aim High after school program for an entire school year. The students will have a mentor 3 hours each day to assist with homework and learn productive study habits and life-skills and be in a nurturing, safe environment while their parent(s) are at work.
